Knowledge Staff Review:
Usually I don't read romance novels. But as I turned the pages of Mrs. Shaw’s debut effort I found myself increasingly drawn into this tale of love and trust. Since escaping an emotional and physically abusive marriage, Jade Winters has kept pretty much to herself over the past four years. Pouring all her time and energy into teaching dance at the school she owns. Noel Merson is young, successful, dating a lot of women and still very much alone. After being betrayed by his fiancé years ago Noel had not allowed himself to feel the same love that had lead to so much pain. Neither Jade or Noel was looking for love or expecting it when they met, but that is just what happened. If only they knew falling in love was the easiest part, the true test would be letting go of their past relationships and finding the strength and courage to trust each other. Mrs. Shaw's style of writing is refreshingly realistic; the dialogue will make you feel as if you were eavesdropping on a private conversation. The story line steadily unfolds as Mrs. Shaw takes readers on a romantic journey while subtly injecting elements of suspense guaranteed to keep readers guessing and looking over their shoulders. The author then brings the novel to an explosive conclusion that will not disappoint; I look forward to more work from this unconventional romance writer.
